CommunityBuzz - Flyertalkers & the new Asian virus
Mar 31, 03, 3:13 pm
I plan to visit Asia (Thailand, Singapore & Japan) next week and I'd like to network with any Flyertalkers who live in these places to help me decide how serious the threat from this new virus is. It sounds like it's getting worse every day, but I can't always trust the news here.
So what is the reality as folks there know it? I hope none of us have it!

Well, some of the Asians who were supposed to come to the NAB show this week are cancelling due to it. Schools are closed, people are being encouraged to cancel all non-essential travel-that's not exactly a good sign. This post should probably be on travel buzz, though, unless you're planning a get-together w/ folk over there vs just asking their advice on the threat of SARS.
There's some discussion of this on the United forum as well, with a link.
