Seeing Dorian's "who am I" thread I was hoping that it would be this thread; but it's not. Figure it's time someone started it up.
On flyertalk I have posted under one name and one name only: I am violist. I have, it is true, registered the name violinist as well, but that's so nobody else can have it.

looking back at the first Flyertalk months I 'remember' to have created about 30 different 'handles' just for one night, the Halloween night in 1998, and was really proud that I succeeded then to fool some of my old-friends (the only other handle than Rudi that survived that Halloween night was 'IDUR' = Rudi backwards ...).

Just recently, copyright by gaucho100K, I replied to a few of his posts, when he started to call me 'Pabst'®, with that 'Pabst'® handle (I hope that 'my' vatican doesn't mind me crediting gaucho100k the ® for the 'Pabst' handle on Flyertalk ...).

... and, Gisela sharing, at home and in Wengen, my computer I sometimes forget, when posting myself afterwards, to check, if I must overwright/correct the old (automated) Gisela 'handel' ... I am glad that Gisela herself is unable to ever make a nasty poster!

Omni to PG: I don't remember Karl Stevens except somehow negatively.

I was once (and only once) Post_Hog_Stevens -- part of the Stevens 'family' (there must have been a dozen of 'us') that sat around the same table but only used FlyerTalk to discuss ff scenarios. The 'family' developed spontaneously one brief afternoon before the threads were deleted (from FT at least) forever...

I must admit that I too have had other handles.

More to the point, I was also a member of the mischievous Stevens Family--actually I was the funny one Even Steven, or so I believed at the time. (I actually still think one of Even's post is pretty funny.)

Humor aside, however, a fake persona is a fake persona and all of us who have used them are equally guilty. I am sorry for having been a part the deceptive Stevens conspiracy, especially if I hurt anyone along the way.

It is interesting to note that in some U.S.A. States, a conspiracy to commit any criminal act is a felony, even if the act itself is a misdemeanor. That is quite simply because doing things that are wrong is a whole lot easier when you have the support of your friends. That concept is not presented as an excuse for my own misdeeds, but as an awareness that our friends can sometimes chide us into group think behaviors which we would find unthinkable while sitting with polite strangers at a dinner party.

OBTW, I honestly don't know who the PFPs are, but I am certain that Quiet Lion is 100% innocent of that debacle. While it is possible that we might all be ax murderers/esses, my bet would be that Quiet Lion is exactly who he presents himself to be--a very intelligent, independent man with lots and lots of options. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

I'm only 1P, 'cos that's what I've been since 1991. If I make 1K (next year is already looking good - not this year, alas), I suppose I'll have to think about changing that.

I must have the most mundane handle - it is simply my initials, as those of you who've met me will confirm.. maybe next year I'll stretch my brain and think up a replacement (but will of course advise of the changeover !).

I have been and probably always will be JetTroop. Wherever I go, whatever I do...I'm JetTroop. I wanted JetSonic about 6 years ago on AOL but that name was taken. So I settled on JetTroop and ended up liking it better.

JetSonic is a type of a light bar for an emergency vehicle, so that's where that came from. I'm a cop...hmm...well still a cop part time but back in the day (okay, I'm only 27 and I don't think I qualify to have a back in the day yet) I was like a state trooper and writing tickets with the pros...so I took Jet from JetSonic and Troop from Trooper to become me..JetTroop! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Whitney Houston did a pointless remake of "I'm Every Woman" in 1993. It hit #4 on the charts. Chaka Khan's original version was in 1978, and hit #21.
