Could someone please advise on the hotels in HNL and Kauai.
1. What rating do you give each of them? 1-5
2. Are these both on the beach (I have Ocean View in HNL am I looking thru buildings)?
3. How do you rate the services?
4. Is there access to GOLF?
5. How is it located with referrence to other attractions?
Thanks for all the help.

We stayed at the Prince Kuhio in HNL last September.
1. I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 5. Newly refurbed rooms, decent sized. Think standard Marriott or Sheraton rooms.
2. Not on the beach. A long block from the beach. If you're on a high floor you won't have to worry about buildings blocking your view but you're still a ways away from the beach. Not worth extra $$$. We had a room on the other side which gave us a mountain view.
3. No complaints. Pool is on the ninth or tenth floor. Nothing to write home about.
4. Not aware of any golf nearby. You're in the middle of Waikiki.
5. Walking distance to much of Waikiki. The city bus stops outside the hotel. It's on the other side of Waikiki from the Hilton. The zoo is nearby.

The Prince Kuhio is about a 10 minute walk to the Ala Wai Golf Course, a public and VERY popular golf course.
As a matter of fact, the mountain-view rooms look right to the Ala Wai course,

I just won a 3-star bid on Priceline and got this property.
$51 per night. Sounds like a pretty good deal. And the comments on tripadvisor.com are farily favorable.

Good value at $51. Enjoy.
I got the same deal with Priceline ($46). Anyone know how to get upgraded rooms at this hotel?

How about the Kauai Radisson property anyone?
