I am looking for biz flight FRA-SYD. One of the cheapest available is with Malaysian. Is around DEM4400. Are their seats any good? Any chance to earn points on this carrier?

Thanks

Actually their Business Class is one of the best around asia - at least on par with the likes of Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Japan Airlines. They are definitely better than Thai.

You may earn mileage on Swissair Qualiflyer, KLM Dutchman, Continental Onepass and ANSETT Global Rewards (if you're Australian based) with MAS flights. They also have their own progamme, Enrich, but I find that I get more out of my mileage with other programmes.

Thanks Guy Betsy!

That's what I wanted to hear. The ANSETT info is good news. I think I go for it. By the way, any ANSETT enrollment bonus out?

FYI, just flew Malaysian biz class on an internal (Kuala Lumpur to Penang) trip. They will also give United miles for MAS trips.

Have you got a source for the United info? I checked UAL.COM and Webflyer.com but couldn't find MAS as one of UAL airline partners.

Be warned that MAS do not usually give points for their domestic flights to partner FF schemes, only to their own Enrich program.
Given that MAS is moving closer to KLM/NW and/or QF/Oneworld it is quite unlikely that credit will be given to UA M& for any MAS international flights. Would be glad to be proved wrong.
The nemesis of MAS is SQ. Now that SQ are securely part of the monSTAR, MAS will lengthen their distance from UA and * .
