Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - CX overly optimistic for full fare pax on CX830/831 non-stop to/from JFK?

It seems like that CX is overly optimistic that they can sell their F / J cabins at full published fares and Y class at published fares only (Y, B, H) on CX 830/831 between HKG and JFK.
After searching all dates possible, the availability display keeps showing up as:
F4 A0 J9 C9 D0 I0 Y9 B9 H9 K0 M0 L0 etc.
Most "discount" contracts that corporate customers and wholesalers hold are for A, D, K, M, L etc. classes.
Is CX really this optimistic? or are they just "testing the waters" at the moment and if not enough people book in "F" or "J" they would start to release A, D, and I inventory?

I think CX will allow you to waitlist for the appropriate classes.
Yes this is a premium route, so CX would like to restrict discounted fares as much as possible. But I think many things are still beig ironed out and availability will be released after a few weeks.

While for SQ, when they first introduced their LAX-SIN non-stop they seemed to have offered "D" class all along.

But they're not SQ are they?

I would think Diamond members will readily be given an I class seat.
I got a redemption business class seat when ITN was showing J9 C9 D0 I0. MPC didn't even waitlist me. A benefit of being a Dimond, I suppose.

But reasonable comparisons can be made, can't they?

"A" has been showing on all but the inaugural flight since last week. However, neither AA nor CX have bene able to get me a seat as part of my AONE5 ticket.

Sad that these flights are so ill-timed that I cannot do JFK-HKG-SIN. I would much prefer the daytime polar JFK-HKG to SQ's 18 hours of darkness.

Still no luck in getting an "A" seat on the JFK-HKG non-stop flight. Today, ITn.net is showing "A0" for all flights I checked within a week period, making me think that there is no "A" on these flights. In any event, I switiched myself to the CX 889 in late July in the hopes that an "A" seat will open-up on the non-stop flight and I can snag it. We'll see.

Just spoke with CX again and now am waitlisted for the CX 831. According to the CX Agent, CX is still deciding what to do with the flight and has not opened it up to "A" class bookings yet. That said, she did find availability on July 31 and ITN.net is showing availability for random days in late September.
We'll see what happens. In any event, I am on the CX 889 still, so I really can't loose.

Update:
I just cleared the waitlist for the CX 831 on July 23 with an "A" class seat.
I random check of flights on ITN.net shows "A1" for most days in July (including the inaugural flight). Except for July 23, that is, as I have it that day!
