Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - AsiaMiles initially rejects mileage credits on new (non-CX) routes

I've just discovered a problem which causes mileage credits from other airlines not to post... CX/AsiaMiles has validity checking on online "missing mileage" claim page which is not kept up to date, and I strongly suspect that the same validity checking would reject incoming credits from other airlines' systems.
Specifically, I flew AA JFK-PHX-JFK at the beginning of February, after the route opened on (I think) 31 January. All my other flights on AA on this trip credited promptly, but these two are missing. When I try to submit a claim online it is flagged as "not a valid sector for this airline".
Obviously, I have written to CX pointing out the problem, so I hope it will be fixed soon, but in the meantime it is something to watch out for if you need your miles to credit to your account quickly.

You would think that mileage is credited automatically between AA's and CX's system!

Obviously CX doesn't entirely trust incoming mileage credits from other airlines, so applies its own check.

Just complain and you will get the miles, their systems have proven to be incapable of accurately recording travel information and are deceptively not crediting passengers who don't look at their statements. It is a regular monthly event for me to chase after miles I always have missing. I was given the excuse that I am a regular on "non-cupac" routes. What rubbish!

Just for the record, this is the first time in about 550,000 Club Miles that I have needed to make a missing mileage claim.

I had a strange experience in fall too, but it seems to have been BA's fault not CX. I booked two flights in Europe in a mileage earning class, which were later reported to CX MPC as non-mileage earning N class. Go figure. I guess inter-airline mileage transfer is still ab big issue, even in oneworld. (My colleagues however all fly *A and they complain a lot more about missing mileage.)

Check your statement carefully, with a heavy travel scheduleit is easy to overlook miles that should be credited but were not. I use to assume that with todays technology there is should be no problem but this has proven to be untrue. Trips to Vietnam are always missing as are Adelaide sectors. Apparently the systems used in these two ports are not overly sophisticated.
By the way B.Watson, you persist with deleting posts and topics such as the one asking board members to state what they believe is a personal insult, I also asked that this be treated with maturity and your response was certainly not a mature one.
No doubt this will be edited or my post deleted altogether.

Needing to submit another missing mileage claim, I notice that CX has now given up trying to do online submission of missing mileage except for CX flights. For anything else it has reverted to a paper form and fax... They obviously tried previously to go beyond the limit of the technology.
