if i fly hkg-sfo-dfw will i need to re-check my bags? (the hkg sfo is cx the sfo dfw is aa)
i know that i will need to claim my bags at customs for my first port of entry but do i need to take them after customs to another terminal or will there be a re-check area at sfo after customs?

Every airport I've ever been through had the same set-up, so I don't see why SFO would be any different. You should be able to drop luggage off as soon as you walk through customs.

Yes you can recheck them right away after clearing customs in SFO.

Sometimes AA seems to insist on re-printing the baggage tags and boarding passes (issued by CX) if you re-check in at the AA counter.
