Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - CX881 -use bus-no gate

For those of you who have a choice of CX881 and Cx883, you may wish to take into account that 3/10 we had to bus out to the furthest reaches of LAX by bus for CX881.

Apparently this has been afrequent occurence on this flight according to Cx due to lack of gate space. Now whether it is particular days due to other airlines operating non daily services, I can not tell, but anytime I have to ride a bus I am not a happy camper, especially when riding in J or F

Yes it's true, but is also true for CX883 as I was on it last month, but more amazing is that on return CX880 was also bus service in HKG to the gate. I was held up for secondary security carry on check at the gate. I got yelled at after stepping off the second bus which parked by the back stairs and I started to walk over to the front stairs. Did get apology once I flashed my F BP.

Yeap, as you all know, TBIT is in full capacity. CX is running two night flights... so at most times, one of them is parked at those faraway terminal... I think they don't particular assign one of the flights to the faraway bus spots... I think it is a random thing. It is a hassle, but a reality at LAX... That is why I think CX should bring back the daytime flight... TBIT is not that bad in the daytime as many Asian flights switched to night-time departures these days.

As an aviation fan, I don't mind taking the stairs... it gives me time to appreciate the big planes.

Yeah, TBIT is a total MESS during the evenings with all of the PacRim flights going out. I liked CX's day flight from LAX before SARS...
