I've been looking at flights LAX/SFO-HKG on 3/19 and 3/20 and the premium cabins are sold out on CX, SQ, AC, and even UA.
Is something going on in HKG that weekend?

And before you ask, yes, the HK 7s is exactly the sort of event that would inspire someone to fly halfway around the world. CX in F to see the HK 7s is one of my dream trips. And they all fly premium, because, frankly, it is the only way to fly. HKTraveler Mar 9, 04, 7:43 pm And to tie the two events together, CSFB is sponsoring the 7s and that is why they put the investor conference right before the 7s. number_6 Mar 9, 04, 8:03 pm Interesting ... I was curious why CX LHR-HKG was sold out in F ... but BA wasn't, so I am going BA which isn't that bad if the Concorde room still has some Sir Winston Churchill left. However getting a room at the Pen was no problem, wonder where they are all staying? As an aside, it seems rather telling that CX would sell out F first before BA (and from LHR), I guess that answers the question of which is better. eamus Mar 10, 04, 9:00 am Originally posted by number_6: However getting a room at the Pen was no problem, wonder where they are all staying? The Ritz-Carlton.
