Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - CX goes down to 6 flights a week into JNB.
The summer schedule calls for only 6 daily flights between HKG and JNB. Flights will not operate from HKG to JNB on Monday's and from JNB to HKG on Tuesdays. If you have scheduled flights for these days, you might want to call and update/reconfirm your reservations.
The HKG to JNB is already operating 6 times a week - everyday except for Thursday ex-HKG and Friday ex-JNB.
The only difference in your posting are the different days of operation.
Therefore, the title of your post "CX goes down to 6 flights a week to JNB" is INCORRECT and factually wrong.

Maybe the poster could have stated it better, but s/he is correct.
azmmza, I am not sure what your remarks is supposed to mean by "grow up".
I was simply stating the facts and what I know about the JNB schedules for CX.
A little puzzled by your remarks to be honest.

Back to the original post which wa svery informative.
I had a reservation HKG/JNB in April on a Monday - in F - they rescheduled my flight without telling me, thank God for FT or I wouldn't have found out!
So thank you!

I am surprised to read you weren't informed about the sked change, BALoyal. I have had two sked changes on my current CX itinerary in First between YYZ-HKG-JNB, both minor in terms of a half-hour move to the departure, and in each case I was left dozens of messages on my answering service advising me to contact [AA, it was an award ticket, and I was travelling out of country] regarding a sked change. I have been quite amazed at the lengths AA, at least, goes to advise its customers about sked changes, even minor ones like these, and on non-rev tickets. CX and SAA do run codeshares, and I believe on several nights both carriers have flights leaving within minutes of one another from HKG, so there is still capacity, but just not enough to fill CX's flights 7-nights a week.
Shareholder: The reason this came up is I called CX to get seat assignemnts for a flights to JNB this summer. Things fell apart when they tried to book my seats from HKG back to YVR. I had been scheduled out on a Tuesday flight but since that flight has been axed, the CX computer put me on the the WED flight but did not change the flight onwards to YVR. I now have a reservation that gets me into Hong Kong after the flight to YVR departs and nobody said boo. These tickets were issued by AA and CX said it is AA's problem. I have called AA and they blame CX and have sent a message over to CX to fix it but have now been told it may take upwards of 7 days to hear back from CX. I wonder how many other people are being left in the dark with this schedule change.
