Recently, separate immigration channel for HKIA Frequent Visitor Card holders is available in HKG.
I was offered this card from CX via email.
After application to HKIA, the card was sent in a week.
Anyone gets this offer ?

This separate immigration channel is good,
because of shorter queue length than ordinary channels.
Of course, Hong Kong ID channel or Crew channel are the best. :-)

I also got one. The card came pretty fast, four days after the application was faxed in. I thanked CX for this. Good to know that it helps you clear immigration faster. I hope to use it shortly, too. It's for entering HKG only, right? (Not for leaving from HKG.)

I was also emailed about this by CX. The card arrived pretty fast. I am looking forward to trying it out in about 10 days.

Yes, it does seem to be only for entry into HK during the trial period.

If you live in the APEC region, apply for the APEC Business Travel Card as it has all these benefits when travelling to 12 Asia Pacific Economic Region:

For more information, visit the following website: http://www.businessmobility.org

The HKIA Frequent Visitor Card is useful to travellers not residing in the APEC participating country or an APEC country that does not participate in the Business Travel Card scheme.

Does the Hong Kong frequent visitor card apply for non-business travel? Those of us traveling on RTW thru Asia are always going thru Hong Kong. It would surely help.

I agree - can one apply for one or is it by invitation only?

The HKIA Frequent Traveller Card is a pilot scheme which is open to frequent visitors to Hong Kong holding a valid travel document.

Applicants for the HKIA Frequent Traveller card must have visited Hong Kong via the Hong Kong International Airport for not less than three (3) times in the preceding twelve (12) months.

Since the HKIA Frequent Traveller Card is a "pilot scheme", I think it would be fair not to distribute the contact details just yet since it is a targeted offer to Marco Polo Club members only.

On the positive side, the pilot scheme will run for 3 months and a full scheme will be launched. Watch the space!

Why can't HKG have Fast Track immigration likes just like at LHR?

This program now looks like a permanent program. The HKIA now has a separate passport control counter for HKIA frequent visitor card holders.

My card has been renewed automatically. I received it last week. The accompanying letter says three entries per year are required for renewal. It also says it is limited to immigration but the letter, I think, suggests it could be expanded to cover emigration in the future, which would be very nice.

Chiangi, have you used the Frequent Visitor Channel when travelling with people that don't have the FVC? If so, have they been allowed through with you? Since getting the card I have always travelled alone when going to HK, but later in the year will be travelling with my family. It would be good if they were allowed through as well (that channel is usually empty, and they use it for people in the other queue). I emailed HKIA about this, but have not received a reply. Thanks!

Thanks Chiangi. I'll wait to see whether HKIA get round to answering, or else just try my luck.

i live in germany and applied for the card that day went it went from a pilot scheme to a regular program.
it took about four weeks to get the card by mail.
i would have liked to have it earlier, but better now than never.

combined with the electric car shuttle service (LH always uses a remote gate and I hate the people mover) it is now very very quick to get out of the airport.

espeically combined with the automatic eye recognition passport control in FRA I have now reduced my travel time.

everything else i would need is any idea how to get faster through the car border between shenzhen and hongkong, is there something like a VIP pass?

no way to get an APEC pass for me because i am not resident of any of the APEC countries.

i just found out that there is no such channel when leaving H.K.
especially as a "visitor" this can take up to 30 mins.
i was expecting they had a channel for the card there as well.

i just emailed them i am a little disappointed about that.

I also emailed them about the lack of lane for departure at HKG.

The letter that came along with my renewal card a few weeks ago said the channel 'is available to arriving passengers only at this stage.' (bold mine)

So I would think if they see demand, they would consider a lane for departing pax.

Let us email. ;)

Just received my HKIA Frequent Visitor Card. One quick question: Do I still have to fill in the entry form when I present my card along with my passport? Thanks.

Yes, you have to.

Please note there is still no priority on exiting HKG, only for entry.

I've found that cardholders can bring others with them. I brought my family in a few times that way without a problem (may depend on the person at the end of the rope though, but they're usually helpful), although now the wife has one as well it's not an issue. It really is very useful to avoid the queues after a late-night arrival, but it doesn't seem to be widely-held judging by the fact that whenever I've been there, nobody else was in the line. Erm, long may that continue.

I was ALWAYS asking myself how comes the line was always empty and was wondering how I can get this magic card to avoid the long lines... 9 of 10 times I get to Hong Kong I always had to wait for around 20 min to get into HK.. finally a great way to avoid the queues :)

Thank you guys very much for this great hint! I will apply a card immediately :)

I applied for the card and received it four weeks later. Recently, I took a flight from BKK to HKG. Arrived at gate 71, went through immigration, and on to the AE in 15 minutes time! Absolutely love it!!!! Just wish they had one for departures.

Does anyone know if this card is useful for departing and/or arriving at the HK-Macau Ferry Terminal? I seem to recall some type of express lanes there, but the card seems to be issued by the Airport.

My memory is a little fuzzy, but I'm sure there was a seperate line for exiting when my wife and I departed there early July???

yes, since some months they have this line on exit.
this makes it one of my most valuable plastic cards ....

the entry / exit service by HKIA card is even faster than the service provided by lufthansa hon circle service.
