Does someone know what time the CX lounge at YVR closes as to whether or not YVR departing passengers that take CX889 to HKG have access to the lounge after checking in at 11pm?

You bet you do. The lounge is open until you depart. Additionally, the Duty Free are also open just for the flights departing at these times.

but sometimes the duty free shops close before the flight departs. i took 829 from YVR to HKG in the summer and before boarding started the duty free shop across from the gate was already closed.
