Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Zero availability on an award flight.. cleared for Diamonds

I see that CX has improved this benefit.
I booked a flight today with MPC/Asiamiles. Flight was full in award Business Class. After the booking, the agent said that she will check with her Supervisor when my waitlist would clear, as I am MPC Diamond member.
I waited.. Dum, te dum, te dum, diddy dum...
Then she came back, and told me that I have been cleared off the waitlist and can confirm my flight immediately. I was just flabbergasted!
Well done, MPC!

I called back and added another segment to my itinerary... and it was also sold out in award Business Class. What was troubling was that in economy class, it was showing zero availability even in revenue seats, so I was doubtful about this flight clearing.
I was put on waitlist and the agent said that he felt that the waitlist would clear within "15 minutes". He said that if he will call me within 20 minutes if the flight didn't clear.
10 minutes later, really, I checked on the CX website under Personal Itineraries and was glad and surprised that the said flight did clear the waitlist. I even received a SMS to my cell phone confirming the waitlist!
Double kudos to The Marco Polo Club!

Perhaps not all Diamonds get the same treatment like you do. Being a "top-100 customer" of CX on your file definitely has something to do with it.
But it's great to see CX is doing something to maintain the loyalty of their top-tier customer. Only if they extend their warm heartedness to the lower tiers too....

It's not only Guy Betsy that get's this treatment, I gave also experienced the same level of service from CX.
I am glad to hear that "Complain King" Guy Betsy is happy with Marco Polo Club services. I hope this shines out SQ's PPS Club!

From my experiences, I get an impression that MPC gets me an award seat if there is a revenue seat available.
I find Diamond status is really worthwhile attaining, not just about this but other perks as well.

Listen, StarAlliance Fan or what have you. I don't step on your toes so I would appreciate if you keep your personal opinions to yourself.
At least people here appreciate my contribution to this and other forums. I'm not anonymous like some people are.

Listen, Guy Betsy or G*y Betsy, I've had enough of your non-sense with me.
I suggest you stop complaining for once and all. I've some stories about you from SQ's customer relations department and this is why I am able to say you are the Master Complain King of 2003.

Okay, kids, you're getting a 5 minute time out!
Learn to play well together or, at the very least, ignore each other!

Excuse me, but aren't we at the CX board.. and besides it was Oneworld Fan who always had nothing good to say about SQ. In fact I don't think anyone there has any respect for this individual.. so much so that he decided to have a name change. So much for originality.
He was nice for a while, and then wham, like some atomic bomb, he explodes. And sure enough the syntax is similar to the
former...
Nobody else on FT has praised CX as much as you do. Just leave it at that. If you don't like SQ or any other airline in this forum, then just don't post there.
Try and be civil, that's all WE are asking. Instead we are bombarded by your crass opinions which are best left under a rock along with the poster.
Thank you!

Imagine the following scene. Morning in HKG, TST side, Peninsula lobby.
Enter left, a pageboy (with the trademark pillbox hat), carrying a sign with a bell. The sign has something written on it. And the pageboy is cruising the lobby, ringing the bell, and saying: "Paging B Watson, paging B Watson...

There does seem to be some deja-vu about certain semantics and sentence structure..
