when you're on Green in MPC, what happens if you don't get 4 sectors in a year ? do you get demoted to Asia Miles and have to pay another US$50 in order to re-qualify/become Green again ?
Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - MPC Green renewalView Full Version : MPC Green renewal jakob Aug 31, 03, 10:34 pm when you're on Green in MPC, what happens if you don't get 4 sectors in a year ? do you get demoted to Asia Miles and have to pay another US$50 in order to re-qualify/become Green again ? shinokwo Sep 1, 03, 12:43 am not necessarily though thats the rule. They probably give you another year to try and hold your status at GREEN. Otherwise, TRY THIS..make a "RESERVATION".... whether you intend to fly or not, call the MP numbers, mentioned your reservation to them and show your "willingness" to fly with them in near future...... fakecd Sep 1, 03, 3:13 am No worries. It happened to someone I know. She joined MPC, stayed as green, and had no flight activities for longer than full year. But her MPC Green status remained there, with "0" status credit. tedhl Sep 2, 03, 8:34 am I have been an MPO Green for 2-3 years now, after being Gold for a couple of years...with 0 Club Miles/Sectors in the last 2-3 years, I still have my Green status, even just renewed this month...but I do earn some 200-300k or so Asia Miles per year with my KA flights, credit card, dining, etc...not sure if that matters or not... tenakoe Sep 7, 03, 4:34 am Thanks for asking that question Jakob, as I was wondering about this question too! tfung Sep 7, 03, 5:20 am me too.. I've been green for the past 2 years with 0 status miles on it... pegasus8228 Sep 7, 03, 7:02 am they can discontinue your membership any time (and change it into plain asiamile). but in "99%" of the cases they wont. for obvious reasons: 1. keep your loyalty in the future 2. to keep a large membership pool, for cross-marketing, and for negotiated with partners such as citi cards |
