Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - How full is Business Class, YVR-HKG?

Lucky me! Through a generous contact at CX, I have been offered an upgrade to sample the NBC on my flight from YVR-HKG (CX 839, afternoon flight). Of course, my upgrade is only conditional upon availability, so my question is:

Is business class usually full on this route or does there always seem to be a few seats to spare? I note that it is a A-34C, so there are only a total of 30 business class seats. I will be flying on a Wednesday at the end of September.

Any of your observations on this matter are appreciated.

It shows 13 seats out of 30 are still available with just over a month to go until my flight. As a general rule, do business class seats tend to be booked well in advance of flight dates, or do they tend to sell more quickly nearer to the departure date?

Just hoping (actually PRAYING!!!!) that my chances are good of getting that highly sought-after upgrade!

Last Wednesday, CX 839 was 100% full in F, J, and almost full in Y on the larger Airbus A340-600.

It is really difficult to tell how full J class will be. Mid-September is pretty quiet though.
