Maybe someone can help me.

I'm trying to redeem biz award for my parents. On the web, the particular route of my interest is showing wide open awailability for the award. When I call MPC desk and request these dates, the agent tells me that they are not available.

Why is this happening? What can I do?

When you say "on the web", do you mean using CX's online booking to book the awards? I sometimes have the same problem as you do, where I can select the exact flights, etc. to book the award, and then when I hit the confirmation button, the system says that no seats are available.

That's the exact same situation.

MPC agent told me that sometimes even choosing the award, the flight selection is based on revenue ticket, and when you go to the final confirmation, it returns "no availability"

It happens sometimes, but not always... Quite user unfriendly...
