Unfortunate for CX, but understandable consideration from Taiwan, really, for containing something that seems so elusive (even if SARS isn't that elusive in reality).

It's true that CI will also be considerably worse off from the overall lack of traffic.

I think Macau is no longer considered on the same level as HKG? Updates are coming in every few hours... I'm grateful for the internet http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

I returned my CX ticket today and wrote a letter to explain the situation (as the reservations staff suggested). Hopefully I'll get to fly CX later in the year...and it'll be NH for now.
