Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Cathay Pacific drops A380 buy

On a report by Flight International this week on SARS, it has briefly mentioned:

...Aircraft manufacturers and other suppliers are also starting to feel the effects, as airlines put expansion plans on hold. Cathay Pacific was considering orders for the Airbus A380 and other types, but has frozen all acquisition studies....

May be CX just temporarily drop the plans?

It's most likely temporary - in the longer run there are things CX would want to maintain (e.g. seat/mile cost, cabin features, maybe average age of fleet) and these means they're likely to keep ordering new planes.
