Ok folks, skimming through CX's flight schedules during an idle moment, discovered the following *strange* anomalies:

CX872/3, SFO run, seem to be down as being operated by a 34C in lieu of the normal 74B for the next few weeks. I assume this has something to do with the dropoff in demand due to Sars...?

CX828/9 YYZ via YVR. Searching for a HKG-YVR route, CX828 pops up. So by cancelling the CX838/9 are CX essentially still twice-dailying YVR by letting pax board and disembark in YVR? And thus, before the cancellation of CX838/9, they went YVR 3x-daily?

[edited to fix a confusing typo]

CX828/9 YYZ via YVR is actually via ANC, but re-routed via CDC recommendations keeping the aircraft out of US territory. When the SARS "thing" is extinguished (I bet Toronto will be the last place it leaves.....just a gut feeling), I hope everything will normalize.....I sure don't want to be flying AA because of an organism!

Yeah. 34C is a smaller aircraft PLUS it has New Business Class.

Seems like the equipment change is only scheduled for flights up to 5/31. My 872 flight on 6/2 still shows the B744 equipment.

Glad I saw this, thanks. A check reveals that my seat on 872 (5/6) has changed from old business class on the lower deck of the 744, to new business class in the forward cabin of the 343. Finally something to look forward amidst all the SARS hysteria!

Now if only AA would do something about my 757 transcon... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
