Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - HKG-YYZ Polar Routing?

does CX828/829 use polar routing?
i noticed it has a re-fueling stop but couldn't that be avoided if it uses a polar routing much like CO's EWR-HKG?

The schedule is non stop at certain times of the year, dependent on the jet stream I guess. The CO flight is very restricted in terms of cargo uplift without a fuel stop - and cargo is a big earner for CX.

It's not polar routing. The flight path goes over southern tip of Alaska. Even during winter when the flight is non-stop going east, the flight path remains the same.

There was a thread in this forum where somebody mentioned that CX might be concerned about crew being exposed to radiation if taking the polar route.
