I was on CX 451 today with my partner. 10 minutes out of NRT the front gear door wouldn't close, but the real excitement came 1 hour into the flight when a passenger with severe flu symptoms was forced to sit in the back of the plane while repeatedly refusing to wear a mask. The flight was quarantined after landing at TPE, no airbridge, instead deplaned into busses and then waited about 1 hour in a quarantine area. They then let us all go, so I guess it was just a false alarm.
I congratulate the FAs for their excellent handling of the situation. I did that via e-mail and got a message back that the CX mail system is overloading due to SARS.
My compliments and moral support go out to all FAs of all airlines in these troubled times. It's not an easy job, and we FTs more than anyone appreciate your hard work!
