I'm soon to get to have my first experience with CX, and a lot of it in their NBC according to the computer, and wonder what what the in-seat power scheme used on these legs are:

LAX-HKG (NBC on a 346)
HKG-PER (NBC on a 330 i'm told)
HKG-CGK (on a 777 and back on a 330)

I'm not fuzzed about being without my lapdog for any length of time, but being able to provide your own IFE always seems to work best.

I used to fly a lot on SK, and they required the use to Empower, but had a dozen or so sets on board for pax in C).

In my limited experience in NBC, you need an Empower adaptor. Not sure if CX has any on board; I had my own.

You'll find that NBC's IFE is great, though, with a decent number of choices, complete with pause/rewind/fast-forward.

May I ask if your LAX-HKG-PER is a purchased ticket (on a published fare?) or an award ticket? I'm trying to find a similar fare (US-HKG-Australia) but can't find any published CX fares of this form. Of course it's possible on an award, though.

I'm on a OWE and my Asia part is LAX-HKG-SIN-CGK-HKG-PER-SYD-BNE-SYD-NRT-LHR.

I'm surprised at the price of the OWE's, and I'll be doing a few of those for fun http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Hi, Could you please share the wisdom of where good/best OWE fares can be found? Thanks.

Come over to the OneWorld forum here on Flyertalk. About 80% of the talk is about OneWorldExplorer (& Circle) fares

Not only that, but a lot of knowledgable heads that give fast and good answers on rules, as well as pointers to fares http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

You need the empower plug. CX sells them onboard.

I had two 330 services today, 14JAN, and both had empower ports in business class. Both also were running fake (non on-demand type) Studio CX, too. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

A lot fo airlines sell Empower kits onboard, but at "lofty" prices. Does anyone know a nice place to get them on the ground, and if anyone has experience with the Compaq Evo 800, what extra "tips" might be needed to get it to work?
