Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - JFK-SIN via HKG...which connection?

Looking at the schedule, the JFK-HKG flight gets in early in the morning...traveling in F, if I want to go to SIN, which connection should I take?
On Sunday the 26th, There are very few F flights.
I have nothing to do but relax and get to SIN for a brief midday meeting on Monday...before continuing on to FRA on Monday night.
I would like to relax and enjoy the Wing, but 12 hours seems a bit much (looks like they discontinued the massages too) to wait for a 7 pm dinner flight.
Any suggestions?

The only daily F class flight is CX 713 via BKK. It departs at 9.05am and arrives in SIN around 3.20pm. It can be very tiring after a NY flight connection.
The problem with CX 889 is that it tends to arrive a little delayed most of the time and anything later than 830am will make you miss that connection.
The next SIN flight is CX735 at 1.50pm. That flight sometimes has First. Unfortunately for you, that Sunday it has not.
You may opt to come out and stay at the Regal Airport hotel for a day room rate of around HK$400 I think, and take a nap till your evening flight. Or you may go and try for one of the 'Day Rooms' at the Pier. But these rooms do NOT have beds but recliners and leather at that too. They are okay to rest in for a couple of hours but beyond that, if you're claustrophobic, you'd be climbing the walls!
CX 715 at 7.50pm incidentally, is operated by a A340-300 in the old 2-2-2 configuration in First.

Also, can't you sleep in your cabana at the Wing?

Hogging a cabana for hours on end is unethical, but I suppose someone has to keep the ugly american image going.
As for the CX service in Asia on C, it is quite nice. You don't get the Krug but otherwise I wouldn't go out of the way to catch an F flight over C (except to NRT).

Please bear in mind that the Cabanas are meant for showers, refreshing up and short relxations. It's not meant to be your 'private' room and for you to hog up.
Please... if you want a room, go and rent one for the day.

i concur.
sleeping in the cabana might be more comfortable than Y/J cabin. but not if you just came out from the F cabin.
it is rather cold and that "couch" is not that confortable for sleeping
spend the day in town. 8 hours in the cabana is too much, and you will be totoally bored.

I didn't know the cabana's were in such short supply and that I would be "hogging" anything...otherwise, not sure why anyone would care.
I wouldn't spend the whole time in the Wing (after all, there are the other OW FC lounges to explore too)...I figured some shopping wat the airport...maybe a nice Cuban cigar (is there an outdoor smoking place w/i the terminal?)...and a snooze to rest up for what I suspect would be a nice dinner flight to SIN?
But I could pop into HKG...I wonder if my tailor is open on Sunday...?

there are many tailors open on sunday.
in the airport there are many 'smoking room'. there arent outdoor ones, just like little steam room in the spa http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
if you have seen enough of HK, and just wanted to relax and kill time. the wing is okay, cabana occupation is low during the day, i believe.
you can also explorer BA's F lounge, not impressive if you are coming out from the Wing, but still better than most other lounges. very spacious and low occupancy, with lots of british newspapers, decent ice-cream (hagen daaz --- i will only use 'decent' to decribe this brand http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif )

CX do not serve Krug on the HKG-SIN flight in F anymore. I haven't seen krug in F on most intra asia flights for a while.

cabanas are in short supply during the peak hours, in the afternoon around the 4pm departures to north america, and then again for the 11pm departures to europe and to australia. there is often a waiting list for cabanas during these times.
