I know this is not the Dragon Air forum, however many Cathay flyers are in the know on this subject.

Dragon Air website quotes ~$650 US for a coach HKG-PEK RT

Anyone know how to get a better price?

Need three RT tickets for Dec 30.

I will be in HKG next month if that can help?

Thx

For any discounts, you have to go through a Hong Kong based travel wholesaler/consolidator. If you're in Hong Kong next month, you can check out this wholesaler's website, www.hongthai.com (http://www.hongthai.com)

They have pretty reasonable air/hotel packages can can be lower than air only bought in the U.S. Also, if you're acceptable to travel on China Eastern, sometimes they have air only specials.

Check any local HK travel agent for the fare. However since Dragonair tickets are in demand, the most any agent might give you is a 3-5% discount based on full Y or J fares.

If you're buying a through fare from the US, try to route the Dragonair portion into your ticket on an APEX fare. It might bring the price down a little. This is best attempted through ethnic asian agencies and best not tried on airline websites!

btw, if you go to the website and can't read chinese, you can always call the agency in Hong Kong 2108-8111

Note that you can also use the CX Asia Pass ticket on Dragonair so you might be able to do it that way if it fits with whatever else you are doing. See the Cathay (US) website for more details.
