Dear All,

I flew on CX's Boeing 747-400 aircraft (B-HUJ) between HKG-LHR and had the newly upholstered Y class seats and I must say they look "very impressive".

CX truely has a 21st Century product in First, Business and Economy Classes. CX - Now You're Really Flying.

CX has not officially announced this product upgrade to the public but they had a mock up at Cathay City in March. The Y class upgrade is will finish by end of December 2002.

The Y class seats will be getting new upholstery, new toliet floors and carpets. All these are product enhancements to CX's Y class as it will give the cabin a newer and fresher look. The colours used are from blue spectrum.

CX has the best product onground and inflight and it is these upgrades coupled with their excellent inflight service that makes them Number One in Asia Pacific and one of the best Airlines in the World.

The new Y is probably installed at the same time aircraft are reconfigured for the new J class. If so, you'll only see it on 74Bs on the LHR, FRA, and CDG routes in the short-term.
