Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - CX Lounges in Hong Kong

My wife and I arrive in Hong Kong on CX714/Business (DOWE4). I am BA-Gold/OW-Emerald. Does my Gold/Emerald status allow me (us) to go to CX's 1st Lounge in The Wing instead of the Business Lounge? Also, how does the new CX "The Pier" lounge compare with "The Wing"? Thanks.

You might have problems, since I don't think CX grants lounge access to arriving pax based on oneWorld status. There might be an exception for their own Marco Polo members.

On your departure from HKG, your oneWorld emerald status will get you into the FC section of the Wing.

Arriving passengers do not have access to lounges because you need to show a boarding pass for your next flight on the same day (On any OneWorld carrie) in order to go through to the Departures level, and where the entrances of all the lounges are at.

The Pier is good only if you are departing around those gates 60-69. Otherwise, stick with the Wing.
