Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - New Business Class for 74J & 74B?

Any idea when new B-class configuration will be available for 74Bs and 74Js?

Was planning to schedule a flight from HKG- SFO on the 34C to try new B-class. However, I changed my mind when I realized that AA lounge in SFO had no shower to use for a continuing AA flight to DFW. I'm flying CX HKG-LAX instead to avail of AA LAX lounge with shower.

The new business class on CX's 74B and 74J will retro-fitted at Xiamen Taikoo Maintenance Base. Once this product is updated, CX will have AVOD in P and J class, email and intranet service provided by Tenzing, power outlets and Studio CX 20 plus video channels and 19 audio channels as well as the existing live BBC Radio from London.

There are 7 Airbus (4 x A330 and 3 x A340)aircrafts configured with the new J class product.

The first aircraft under registration "OV" was flown on 6th Dec. I do not know which route though and what new designator which CX will name this 'new' 747 to distinguish it from the rest. I'll advise.

It was to be "744" but that is not confirmed.

I wonder what the layout will be. Does anyone know how many seats they will have in the upper deck area. Will they still keep it a 2x3x2 configuration or follow BA with 2X4X2
