The good thing about the BA/QF World Pass vs. the CX World Pass is that the surcharge to upgrade from Business to First Class on HKG-SYD vv. routes is a lot less than that of CX.

points to note for people taking these trips for miles...
- CX world pass economy version (booked in S) is eligible for Asia Miles but not AAdvantage miles (unless your address is in Canada)
- BA/QF economy version is not eligible for Asia Miles nor AAdvantage miles (booked in Q); but if you pay the surcharge to upgrade to WT+ on HKG/LHR vv, you are booked in class T and thus eligible for miles (base + 10% class-of-service bonus) (please correct me if i am mistaken)
- business versions of both CX and BA/QF are eligible for both Asia Miles and AAdvantage miles, normal business class accrual
