Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - CX pilot trouble and job actions

I am planning on taking CX889/CX888 from JFK to YVR around Christmas. However the last time I booked CX on these flights in August, my flight from JFK to YVR was cancelled because of a job action. Can anyone give me an update of CX's situation with their pilots, unions and flight cancellations due to job actions. Thanks!

There is no more labor problem for now. The pilots have suspended their work actions, due to the problems with the industry in general.
