Hello all,

I'm having my company explore a RTW biz
ticket along the following lines:

SIN - BOM (QF)
BOM - LHR (BA)
LHR - JFK (AA due to AA Plat)
JFK - HKG (CX)(is this the new route?)
HKG - SIN (CX? QF?)

Stops in BOM, LHR and JFK are necessary for
work- HKG is flexible.
I'll be leaving SIN on 15/8 and arriving back
on 27/8

I'd really like some input from you knowledgeable RTW lot (I've read the posts- awesome) on my itinerary. It may be possible to do a couple of segements ex-JFK (on AA)- if I can get them booked without the company thinking I'm mad.
Firstly- is my trip eligible (local BA/QF office thinks so, but don't seem quite sure)
Secondly- any hints on xtra segments and the US back to SIN portion?

Very many thanks to all,
RichGexSIN

Your current itinerary looks perfectly legal. Do you want the extra segments for miles? If so, there is a lot of potential to add miles. You can fly 4 (or 5) segments within Asia so: 1) SIN-HKG (QF/CX), HKG-BOM-HKG (CX), HKG-LHR (BA/CX) or, 2) SIN-HKG-BOM-BKK CX, BKK-LHR) QF/BA, or, 3) SIN-BOM (QF), BOM-HKG-NRT-BOM (CX). Reserve HKG-SIN for your return trip.

In Europe, 4 segments allowed, you can fly LHR-DXB-LHR, and LON-some place else (IST, CAI or HEL?).

In North America, try LHR-LAX-MIA-central american country (SJO, etc.)-DFW-JFK before heading back to HKG. CX plans to launch a non-stop JFK-HKG in addition to the currently-suspended JFK-YVR-HKG route.

This is all assuming the CX pilot dispute situation is resolved.
