On UA MP:
OS, LH*, AC*, SK, UA*(M fare)
* = inter-continental segments
All of these were done with segments on same PNR split between the two programs and before the flight (no stubs mailed-in). Except for the UA segment on M&M, all of them have posted.
No mileage (or rather promo) runs necessary.
Now let us see what happens at the end of July (which is where I assume the bonus will be credited).
Who else has completed and what is your selection of carriers?

Just completed my 4 55K programme today...
For arguments sake, all flights are in paid C/D class with a few exceptions - * means upgraded from coach to C using points, + means coach class travel.
1. LH (Did BKK-HKG on TG+, CPT-FRA on LH, VIE-YYZ/YUL-VIE on OS*, SAN-LAX-SFO on UA+ and YYZ-YUL on AC+)
2. AC (Did LHR-VIE on OS, YYZ-SAN on AC+, MUC-PRG on LH, CPH-LHR on SK and LHR-CDG on BD)
3. SQ (Did FRA-LHR on LH, ORD-YYZ on AC+, VIE-MUC on LH, PRG-CPH on SK and CDG-SIN on SQ*)
4. TG (Did CGK-SIN on LH, SIN-BKK on SQ, BKK-HKG on TG, HKG-SIN on UA and BKK-SIN on SK)
AEROPLAN has been the first to credit the 55,555 bonus. I received the award on 23June.
Now I can go back to taking OneWorld again!

I suppose with all these multiple carrier bonus earners here, my meagre one bonus in Aeroplan hardly rates. Though I could claim to be the first one to qualify on the basis of the flights I completed within a week of the promo start date. At the same time, I should restate for the record that given both the rules and the geography at play, this promo was definitely not a favourable one for those of us living in NAmerica.
all miles & status miles posted already (never took longer than 3 days).

Hi kawoh, the flight on SK was fine. The little shoeboxes at the bottom of the seat in front of you were the annoyances as I found that it cut in on your legroom.
Honestly for 5th Freedom European flights, there are a host to choose from between BKK-SIN vv. There are SK, LX and AY (occasionally). For service and food, I'd give 1)LX, 2)SK and 3)AY.
But did you notice that the SK lounge in BKK is now strictly reserved for Eurobonus Gold members. Other C class and *Gold members now have to use the TG lounges.
Most of my flights above were done in J. I'll update it so as you can see what I did.

Hi guy betsy, thanks for the follow up.
I walked past the SK lounge in BKK, but didn't stop. At first glance from the outside, it looked like an IKEA showroom! I went straight to the TG *A lounge.
It's a pity that the SK lounge is only for Eurobonus gold, were you told that when you tried to enter?
Regardless, I found the TG lounge fine, the 15 mins free internet access was a nice bonus.
My itinery was:
SYD-KUL-SYD (OS) Class Econ, V
KUL-SIN-KUL (SQ) Class Econ, Y
SIN-CGK-SIN (LH) Class Econ, M
SIN-BKK-SIN (SK) Class Econ, M
BKK-PHS-BKK (TG) Class Econ, Y
Best flight - SK (BKK-SIN)
Worst flight - OS (SYD-KUL)

I was hoping to qualify for 4 programs, now it looks like I won't qualify for any. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif
SCL-EZE LH (to UA)
EZE-GRU RG (to MX)
GRU-MIA RG (to UA)
MIA-ORD UA (to MX) (arrived late)
x ORD-YYZ UA (to AC)
x YYZ-YUL AC (to AC)
(x = missed flights, took ORD-YUL AC (AC))
YUL-YOW AC (to LH)
YOW-YYZ AC (to MX)
* YYZ-GRU AC (to UA) (arrived late)
x GRU-POA RG (to LH)
x POA-MVD RG (to AC)
x MVD-EZE UA (to UA)
(x = missed flights, took GRU-EZE RG (AC))
* following biz trip was cancelled
ORD-AMS SQ (to LH)
AMS-LHR BD (to MX)
LHR-DUB BD (to LH)
DUB-LHR BD (to AC)
Lost three segments total on a 12-segment trip; my United MIA-ORD flight was delayed two hours and missed my connections. Had to reschedule direct ORD-YUL. My Air Canada YYZ-GRU flight was delayed 3 hours due to emergency slide deploying as we pulled back from the gate; missed connection in Sao Paulo and had to take direct GRU-EZE. Any chance on getting those three segments credited to the various programs?
So now I have not qualified for any programs and would now need 7 segments to qualify for all 4!

yup i thought the shoebox was a silly waste of space/legroom. my other complaint was that the touch screen LCDs were temperamental (mine was stuck on volume-adjust mode, and so was the chap's across the aisle).... other than that, SK C on the A340 was impressive - especially at 1/2 the price of SQ. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Overview (KLM comb & Star promo):
Itinery 1 and itinery 2 were (short) holiday/sight-seeing trips.
Itinery 1: 19.06.02 - 25.06.02
FRA -(OS)- SZG -(A6)- AMS -(BD)- LHR -(BD)- AMS -(KL)- BKK -(SQ)- SIN -(SQ)- KUL -(TG)- BKK -(KL)- AMS -(KL)- FRA
(A6 = Air Alps)
19.06.02 Sheraton Hotel Goldener Hirsch; Salzburg
21.06.02 Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit; Bangkok
22.06.02 Sheraton Singapore Towers; Singapore
23.06.02 Sheraton Imperial; Kuala Lumpur
Itinery 2: 04.07.02 - 07.07.02
FRA -(LH)- MUC -(OS)- VIE -(OS)- MUC -(LH)- FRA
04.07.02 Vienna Marriott Hotel; Vienna
05.07.02 Sheraton Bristol (Westin); Vienna
06.07.02 Sheraton Imperial; Vienna
To your questions:
1. I "combined" the KLM comb and the Star promo:
- Ouch: oneway ticket (C-class) FRA-SZG (OS/Tyrolean)
- SZG-AMS-BKK-AMS-FRA: KML had/has great business class fares out of Austria. I could change AMS-SZG to AMS-FRA without any fee at a KLM ticket counter in Amsterdam!!!!!!
- AMS-LHR-AMS (BD): I had enough time in AMS to fly to LHR. I was surprised about the low ticket prices (Economy class) with a return on the same day.
- BKK-SIN-KUL-BKK (SQ/TG)
- FRA-MUC-FRA (LH, Economy class)
- MUC-VIE-MUC (OS/AUA, Economy class)
I used Etix/SEN card for all flights with OS and LH and changed the FFP to Krisflyer just before boarding. That "cost" me some chocolates (learnt from Rudi to have always chocolates in my bag) for the agents (doing an excellent work) and helped to get the famous empty seat in Y-class (except VIE-MUC) and an upgrade to C for FRA-MUC.
2. Two choices: buy a (very) cheap ticket or enjoy F-class (if no cheap ticket is available) because then the price difference isn't bad (I made the second choice with a flight on a SQ-B747 with the SkySuites from BKK to SIN). It seams from posts on the Star, TG and SQ forums that local travel agencies offer the best prices for cheap tickets or book far ahead.
3. KLM (comb): Flights to/from BKK on KLM and then roundtrip on Star: BKK-[SQ]-SIN-[SQ]-KUL-[TG]-BKK
4. I've no goal to reach status on SQ (at least not at the moment). Oneway upgrades (e.g. for Europe - SIN) cost 40000miles (Y->C) or 45000miles (C->F). You've to fly a lot to get 40000/45000 miles in Krisflyer. It was easy/quick to get 55000 miles with the promo (5 short flights only). I don't see an advantage for me to use MP: I can upgrade flights on UA with M&M (as far as I know).

SK BKK-SIN has not been posted yet, so I will have to fax them.
It was difficult to find fares ex HKG on SQ that still offer miles.
That is why I often route via BKK, cheaper, get miles and get to visit people there.
EK is a good option on the BKK-HKG route.
Anybody managed to claim Krisflyer miles on this route?

I knew already during booking that there is no C. As already mentioned smaller regional airlines like Augsburg Airways, Rheintalflug etc. offer superior service and have also a 1-class configuration. The ticket was a good chance to try something new: but Air Alps was disappointing - and no option in future any more.
BTW, on their website www.airalps.at (http://www.airalps.at) is a link to several FFPs. There's also a link to LH M&M!? (I used KL Flying Dutchman and the miles credited already. I just wondered about the link to LH M&M. I never saw something about them (KLM Alps was renamed to Air Alps some time ago) on the LH website.)

Yep it's credited as bonus miles. Just send your BP in to LH and wait for twelve weeks... However this only on VIE-STR.
There's no LH codeshare on this route (it can however be booked as a Miles & More reward). It does have it uses (First flight from VIE to STR - hence more AIRails http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif ). I thought the topfen wasn't bad, then again at 06:30 - pretty much any food is good! Compared to OS/LH on that route; I'd probably fly Air A!ps again.

Ralfkrippner posted: AFAIK A6 credits M&M bonus miles only on flights STR-VIE. Alexwuk agreed.
You can earn M&M miles on A6 on all routes between Germany and Austria. Referring to a written answer I received from VIE´s M&M center, flying VIE-STR-VIE operated by A6, you should earn status miles if your boarding pass is showing an OS flight number. Same condition should apply on LH flight number.
Ralfkrippner even thought A6 offers LH code shares on that flight. Alexwuk dissent.
VIE-STR-VIE is serviced three times daily operated by OS (VO) and there are two additional flights from Monday through Fridays operated by A6 (referring to LH´s timetable: KI). You can book all flights on OS and LH as well.
