Preface: This is my very first trip report and I know that it is not going to be even close to the wonderful reports found on this site so, PLEASE go easy on me.
This trip is was part business and part leisure. I guess that I am one of lucky few that works for a company that still pays full fare first class even for their underlings like me. So off I went to Atlanta, GA. on Continental Airlines First Class on CO1163.
Boarding commenced a few mintues early at 11:46AM. I was second in line and was quickly at my seat in 1A on a Boeing 737-500. I am sorry that I do not have the registration number which I know that many of you like to see. I was offered a pre-departure beverage and I choose plain old water as I was thristy and hot. Soon I met my seatmate for this flight, he seemed cordial enought and I got the distinct impression that this woman was going to be an experience. Hence from now on I am going to refer to her as Haldol. After the safety breifing she starts in how EWR has the least amount of near collsions of any airport in this country and how I should bless my luck stars that I fly CO in and out of EWR. Now, I consider myself a person who loves random facts but not facts about collision while taking off. Our lovely FA comes around take our order for lunch. Since there was no menu, am going to create one for our lunch.
MENU
--------------------
Appetizer:
-Beef and Vegitable Soup
Tender chunks of savory beef simmered for hours with fine vegitables to create a sentious broth. This soup has the essence of pepper and salt as well as other fine seasonings.
---------------------
Entre:
Our homemade ciabatta bread lightly toasted and then topped with tender breat of grilled chicken enhanced with our secret seasonings and then topped with grilled carrot and eggplant enhanced with olive oil.
This sandwich will be offered with a tomato relish, traditional pickel and a nice helping on potato salad.
----------------------
Dessert:
Ghiradeli(Spelling??)Chocolate
----------------------
After the service was finished we the passangers were treated to multiple refills of our preferred beverage. Soon it was landing time and the plane touched down in ATL ahead of time by almost 20 mintues.
NEXT UP:
My connecting flight to MIA on DL.
PS. There are many spelling and grammed erros as I have typed this fairly quickly and without the benefit of spell and grammed check. PLEASE FORGIVE ME as I am product of the computer generation.
