Well, this is my first trip report, so feel free to critique if you'd like. I'm always for the improvement.

After long and painfull preparations for our wedding, me and my wife finally got married on July 3rd and were off to our Honeymoon to Jamaica on July 9th.

Our DL flight 1444 to ATL was on MD80 aircraft and left pretty much on time around 12.40am. We had 2 exit row seats on the plane which made the trip pretty comfortable. We even were able to get some sleep. Flight attendents were very nice and they were constantly asking passengers who weren't asleep if they needed anything to make their flight comfortable.

Plane landed in ATL around 5.30am and we went to the Delta Crown Room on terminal A. It's a good thing that a friend of mine gifted 2 of us the passes, as there was pretty much no place to catch a few more winks in ATL airport. Having never been to an airport lounge, I think it was pretty comfortable. The only thing I wish it had food for sale as we had to exit the lounge to get a bite to eat. We checked out a lounge on international terminal E, but it was pretty much the same.

So, after some 5 hour wait, were were off to Jamaica. Our DL flight 683 was a 373-800, which looked fairly new, btw. Once again, we had exit row seats and our flight was pretty comfortable. On that flight were were served a what you would call a lunch box. It contained a turkey sandwitch with creamed potatoes, crackers and cheese, and some strawberries. Surprisingly it wasn't too bad.

As we started approaching Jamaica, flight was getting a bit bumpy and there was a tropical storm in Jamaica, but we landed without any incidents. To our surprise, when we exited the plane, we weren't taken through a long corridor, like we have in US. We actually had to step of the plane on a regular airport ladder (it might be called something else, I just don't know the official name of it). And here's is where a thick wall of HUMIDITY just hit us. Having lived in Denver for 9 years, you get used to the dry air. In Jamaica felt like a gigantic steam room to us. But anyway, we got inside the airport and were greeted by a local jamaican band, which was kind of cool, and proceded to the immigration, which was quite a breeze. They asked us where we're staying and for how long and that was pretty much it. As we exited the customs, were were greeted by a Sandals Resorts representative which took care of our luggage and told us where the bus is to our resort. And after about 20 minutes of waiting time, we were finally on our way to Ocho Rios.

End of Part 1
