Trip Reports - DEN-PDX-DEN on Horizon

I took advantage of Alaska's 13k miles sale to go to PDX for the weekend. This was my first trip on Horizon and I was more than satisfied. Equipment each way was the 70 seat CRJ 700. Loads both ways were about 40 pax. This was also my first flight on the extended length CRJ and I found it less claustrophobic than the 50-seater. Both flights I had the exit row, which provides very good legroom. Two flight attendants on these flights made for very quick service and the attitude level was generally positive. Free beer and wine (not cheap stuff either) plus upscale snacks (bagel chips, dried fruit, beef jerkey) rounded out a very good experience on this trip. Also, both flights were exactly on time. Horizon gets an A-.

I think Horizon must be the best regional carrier in the US. Nothing but excellent experiences with this airline.

Fully agree!!
Did you get a complete drink service or were there only a beer, wine, juice, and water to choose from?
