Lounge was stripped bare...no magazines, buffet was better at the Marriott...4 staff in all, booked a limo in LHR, Hostess had no idea of price, Seat 5a, no pre take off champagne [discontinued, no papers, in lounge [none], no kits. Menu:
3 x 1 inch canapes, egg on toast, tapenade on toast, ham on toast,
carpaccio of pinapple w/ 5 blueberries and 2 raspberries
english breakfast [also in lounge]
beef filet [f/a said it was very well done, could not have it any othr way]
open lasagne with pesto
poached salmon on lentil and potatoe salad
[my choice...worthy of club europe, LHRCDG or similar]
Baked Pear with Prunes or 3 choices of cheese....again Club Europe ...no better
An alternative to the main menu was a plate of sandwiches that resembled BA FC lounge in LHR....absurd for a 4500USD ticket...
Landing at LHR ... no fast-track, no ground staff, limo was late...turns out it was ordered for 9pm...arrival time of morning 747 flt out of JFK.
Flight was 35% full ...no wonder, service, catering, support was a joke!

Save your pennies and skip supersonic and go straight to hypersonic when the outer space shuttle whatsits start flying.

Hasn't the opinion for some time been:
1) If you want pampering and comfort go FC.
2) If you want the time saving and the ability to say you did it, fly Concorde.
3) If you want a really good meal, try a restaurant.

Just changed my July Concorde trip to BA F--not due to your bad experience (I'd flown the Concorde last year, and it was great). But more due to the thought that its just more comfortable in BA F & I've no real need to be in London in 3 hrs!!

Concorde grounded for good (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/2934257.stm)
Concorde flights are to end after more than three decades of luxury travel.
British Airways and Air France made simultaneous announcements that they would be permanently grounding the famous supersonic airliners this year.
Passenger numbers have never recovered since the crash near Paris in 2000 and the aircraft no longer makes a profit.
In a statement, BA said Concorde would cease flying in the autumn because of "commercial reasons, with passenger revenue falling steadily against a backdrop of rising maintenance costs for the aircraft".
