I wish I had taken a photo of this, but the registration letters on my Madrid-London A320 (British Airways) was:
G-BUSH
Quite amused.
In the spirit of trip report, here is a brief one:
Flew BOS-MAD on BA. BOS-LON leg/return in World Club, which was amazing. Now I'm spoiled... flat bed in business class is really a great idea. Any other carriers doing this? Food was grand. BA club at LON was open to World Club passengers, and was quite relaxing. They had Guiness beer, which was cool - this isn't served on BA flights. Popped into the Molton Travel Spa - didn't have time to get a treatment (in retrospect should have gone there first) but it didn't seem particularly busy (waiting time = 15 minutes).
On the LON-MAD flew codeshare on Iberia metal on an A321 - never flown on a 321 before. 3-3 main cabin = pretty cramped. Seemed old. (Is there a way to look up the history of planes by their call letters online?) The ham sandwich was much cheaper than the food on...
the MAD-LON return, which was on BA metal. The seats were leather and it seemed like a newer 320. The armrests weren't moveable and were pretty uncomfortable - actually the whole seat felt like a new before-broken-in shoe - a bit too rigid.
The lunch meal on this flight was a ham sandwich, but was quite tasty ham. (Spanish ham? It would make sense...) + Brownie + Whipped Yogurt. Veggie meal was fruit and a fairly substantial salad.
Flight back in Club World next to window facing backwards; actually I was slightly annoyed by the curve in the wall cutting into my space vs. sitting in the middle row.
All in all, quite good. My advice is to avoid the Iberia codeshares.
