I went to visit a friend **** weekend in Harrisburg. My only afforable option was US as United would've been more expensive or 25000 miles.

ROC-PIT 331
Friendly gate agents, good service. Electronic check-in machines were good. Detailed but friendly TSAs.

Equpiment: 737-300
On time departure
Seat: 10F Dirty, smelled funny.
there was no service. NOT EVEN WATER!
Flight attendants were not to be seen.
If I really wanted a Shuttle ride I would've liked Shuttle prices....

PIT-MDT 462
Equipment: A319
On time departure eventhough it was a late boarding.
Seat: 6D
Seats smelled better. Still no service(no water) I didn't mind it as much on this flight as it was only 28 minutes but I was annoyed that nothing was offered for the 1 hour ROC-PIT flight. Guess you have to fly First Class for a bottle of water and a couple of crackers...

I was scheduled to fly back on US just reversed but ended up driving to CT and booked the last seat out of JFK to ROC on JetBlue.

Every airline should be like jetBlue. Friendliest check-in and gate staff. The TSAs for Terminal 6 were also great eventhough I was triple screened as expected due to same day booking.

jetBlue YAY!!
Flight 36
JFK-ROC
Seat 12F

This plane will filled front to back to the edges. Yet in this 53 minute flying time flight snacks, drinks were offered by superb flight attendants and who can argue with LiveTV. I guess I've been forever spoiled by jetBlue. I will NEVER fly US again. It'll be UA for Intl and J6 for most domestic...

My first trip report, any pointers will be welcomed. Good day!

Must be something about US out of ROC. No beverages at all on a smooth flight I took last year ROC-LGA.

Recently, US has gotten better. I've gotten full drink cart service on quick hops such as PHL-MHT and PIT-BDL.

For the ALB->PHL leg on US (or opposite), the FA's come through the cabin offering coke, diet coke, or sprite.

I have found the "abbreviated" beverage service to be adequate for the 1 hour flight. I'm surprised you don't see this same service ROC->PIT.

Two thumbs up for JetBlue!

I think the US cockroaches are waiting for the ship to be 6 feet under water to jump over to JetBlue... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif
