Trip Reports - sweet pampering by UX / Skywest CSRs

I just flew 3 UX flights in the last 2 weeks, and I have been very impressed by these fine folks on the ground and in the air.

Last week I was running 30 minutes late to my UX flight because the cab company failed to send a cab on time (and lied to me about the cab "it'll be there in 3 minutes"). I ran thru security 20 minutes before my flight. As I approached the gate, it was 11 minutes prior to official takeoff, and a great CSR at the gate anticipated my arrival, and handed me my boarding pass which had already been printed prior to my arrival (I had not notified anyone at UX that I was even going to make it to this flight!)

Today, as I got to the airport on time, there was a long line in Premier / First class waiting to get checked in. I put myself in the shorter regular check-in line. A CSR in the Premier / Firstclass line saw me in the regular line, and waved hello. She was helping another couple with their tickets, and was on the phone with UAL reservations. Within a minute of her waving hi, she held up my boarding passes and waved me over to her position and handed me the ticket jacket, as the other passengers in the Premier / First Class line watched in awe.

I have to give my deepest compliments to the fine folks at Skywest / UX. They are much more proficient than most other airline employees, and I truly feel like a valued customer whenever I am serviced by them.

A big THANK YOU to the fine folks at Skywest!!!

By the way, I am thinking of a nice note / gift of appreciation for the CSRs the next time I see them. I'm thinking a "Thank You" card and a couple of movie passes.

Can anyone else think of a more approriate gift for some excellent CSRs? I would love to hear your suggestions.

Great idea. I think I might have to get a box of my own as a way to say "thank you". http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I used to fly OXR-LAX quite a bit and share your sentiments. Skywest is a class act--especially their FAs!

It's too bad things aren't as nice at UA.

I too have had really great service in the air and on the ground with Skywest, with the exception of one manager at PSP, who I and others in my family feel is too self important and b@%&hy. Haven't seen him in a while however which is fine by me.

I often like to buy See's candy at SFO and drop it off upon my arrival in PSP

We fly from PSC - all Skywest - GREAT people! My wife loved to make cookies for them. In fact the other day we were returning DEN-PSC and one of the supr greeted us at the plane. She wanted the recipe for one of the latest finds. I brought it back (we live 9 miles from PSC) within the hour. The entire staff was going nuts over the timeline between her getting the recipe and when the cookies would arrive. The entire station is wonderful to both of us, even though I don't do the cookies!

As a SkyWest UE gate agent at SFO until the end of August, let me tell you the best thing to receive from customers is recognition! A simple pat on the back, but even better a letter of commendation to the company, would be the best gift you could possibly give! What I have gotten, though, after talkign about career aspirations with folks, are a lot of business cards and reqests to call them when I graduate. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I don't know if anyone would have recognized or remembered me at the gate. I was the 2nd youngest person working there at the time, the fist being our own UAX@SFO.

I have already emailed Skywest about the great job of their employees. I plan to give the pat on the back along with the thank you card & said gift http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Best of luck with graduation & landing a cool job.
