Perusing the efares for next weekend on Alaska's website Friday night, I saw that there was one for Spokane (GEG) the next morning (Saturday). Grabbed it. $67 round trip (including taxes which were $22 of the $67!).
Left SEA at 10 AM, comped upgrade to F (received a Diet Coke in a can), got off the plane, got back on the plane (no F this time - plane was much more crowded). Arrived back in SEA at 12:30 PM.
$67 and total mileage = 4,500! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Nice way to spend a few hours to catch up on some reading, earn a lot of miles and still be at home in time for lunch with friends.

Excellent, succinct trip report, Liz.
Your report reminded me of the first trip report (http://www.flyertalk.com/pasttalk/ftpasttalk_forum/Forum81/HTML/000905.html) I ever wrote. Oh, how times have changed since then... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Hey! Wait a minute! What about:
What gate did you leave from?
What seat did you sit in?
What time did they close the doors?
How long was the take off roll?
What was the cruising altitude?
What was the route of flight?
How long before service started?
How was the legroom?
How was the recline?
How was the approach?
How was the landing?
I feel so cheated! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
Seriously though, what I was really curious about is this: Is the Boardroom open yet?

We left from the gate where the plane was.
What seat did you sit in?
The one where I could see all of the mountains as we flew (window, first row)
What time did they close the doors?
They closed the doors before the plane pushed back.
How long was the take off roll?
Well, looks like the bakery made a mistake - they were short and stubby - about 2" I'd say.
What was the cruising altitude?
Not much, but the guy who was in 5 A was kind of cute.
What was the route of flight?
Eastbound. I don't know, the pilot must live in Wenatchee because he kept mentioning it about 3 times there and back.
How long before service started?
LOL! What service? Brought me a can of diet coke. Took it away before I could finish it.
How was the legroom?
Didn't get a chance to visit it, but the armroom was very elegant.
How was the recline?
Great - felt like I was in the La-Z-Boy showroom.
How was the approach?
Depended upon the person, but seems like my flirting skills needs some updating!
How was the landing?
Safe.

I am sorry, I don't have any idea. I was thrilled I made it to the gate on time.</font>
BTW, the above are said tongue-in-cheek, so hopefully nobody will get all upset and start flaming. . .it's a joke. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

So, what are the answers to Seat 2A's very important questions? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Could you have had two if you asked nicely?

No. The FA never came back; the flight was only 32 minutes in length. Even I, who adores DC, wouldn't have been able to finish 2 in that amount of time http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

On a 30 minute flight? Nothing too demanding, I hope http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Now, it would have been a successful trip if you got phone number for the guy in 5A!!

They should have had a mechanical in Spokane to spoil your fun...

Why would you post something mean here?

Oh come on, I'm just having a little fun...
You might say I'm jealous, because my one and only attempt at a TTN "mileage run" ended up something of a disaster. I booked a web special (SJC-SEA with a same day return). Going out was fine, but I ended up stranded in SEA overnight. First there was a mechanical problem and then just as they fixed the problem, the airport was shut-down due to a freak March snow storm. In the end, I didn't get out until midday the next day. All in all, it wasn't a huge inconvenience, but I don't think it was worth the extra miles!
