Haven't seen a shuttle report for a long time so here's one in case anyone wants to know what it's like.
12 October US2623 BOS-LGA A319
Take the T out to BOS which takes about 50 minutes including an overcrowded bus shuttle. Get to the check in area (over an hour to spare) and used the check-in machine (takes some 20-30 seconds, it's slow). Get seat 18A & C as there's no adjacent seats closer to the front.
US doesn't offer headsets for any IFE on weekends. No papers (if there were, the 8am flight crowd got them all). Boarding was done by row numbers. Soft drinks service on board. No snack boxes (I think these were offered weekends 2 years ago).
Flight pretty much pushed back on time and arrived at the LGA gate on time. Noticed that the engines are started up as soon as pushback begins to save taxi time. No stairs for the pax in the rear.
Would say that the flight was nearly 100% full if not completely full.
US 2626 LGA-BOS Same A319
Went landside to use the check-in machine to get the return BPs (US's system will only let you check in for the immediate flight, it seems). Got 18D & E this time. Despite a near-full flight, boarding was done on a general basis. Got selected for random secondary.
Same service/pushback/landing. Wine and beer is available but you have to ask for it. They don't load it on the cart.
