Arrived in Raleigh Durham to find a largely vacant Terminal C, however the Admirals Club was kind of dingy and busy with just one computer available. The 777 in the Flagship Suite was just a short walk away and boarding was relatively prompt with an on-time departure even with a full 777 in all three classes. Here is the menu:

To Sart-Warmed Roasted Nuts and/or Fresh Vegetables with Pesto Ranch.

Appetizer-Smoked Salmon with choice of Blini or Toast.

Salad-Mixed Salad with Zucchini, Bell Peppers, Button Mushrooms, and Tomatoes. Offered with Lobster Tail and Creamy Garlic or Olive Oil with Balsamic Vinegar Dressing and Uno's Foccacia Bread.

Bread Basket

Entrees-Could be served with Yellow Squash, Asparagus, and Whipped Potatoes though these were not offered when orders were taken.
1.Filet Mignon-Salt and Pepper Crusted with Mustard Caper Demi-Glace with Basil Buttered Broccoli and Potato Wedges with Paprika.
2.Wild Mushroom Tortelloni-Cheese Stuffed with ****ake Mushrooms, Spinach, and Creamy Mushroom Sauce.
3.Veal Medallions-Pan Seared with Roasted Onion and Garlic Demi-Glace served with Yorkshire Pudding and Roasted Rutabagas and Carrots.
4.Manchego Chicken-Grilled Breast wrapped in Manchego Cheese presented With Basmati Rice, Artichokes, Wilted Spinach with a Roasted Red Pepper Demi-Glace.

I had the chicken and it was well presented as well as tasty.

Fruit and Cheese-Manchego, Appenzeller, and Roquefort with Fresh Seasonal Fruit, Crackers and Port.

Dessert-1.Choice of Vanilla Ice Cream with Hot Fudge, Butterscotch, Season Berries, Whipped Cream, and Pecans or 2.Grand Marnier Fruit Salad with Haagen Dazs Lemon Sorbet.

Godiva Chocolates

Prior to Arrival, Continental Breakfast including Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice, Seasonal Fruit, Yogurt, Cereal and Breakfast Breads.

Invitations to Hilton Arrival Lounge and Fast Track Immigration Passes passed out prior to landing at Gatwick.

Overall a nice flight with a nice crew. The only suggestion is to speed up the meal service on the eastbound flight. With only a 6 hour and 45 minute flying time, it took them almost 2 1/2-3 hours to serve dinner leaving too short a time for rest. This is too long and they have 3 attendants for 15 seats. It has nothing to do with too elaborate a service either but just inefficiency.

The Return LGW/DFW was again on a Flagship Suite 777. The Admirals Club at Gatwick is a joke. Too small for members plus F and J class customer to DFW (2 flights), STL, and RDU. Poor food selection too for an international club. They need it to be bigger and better and a Flagship Lounge would be nice. Also, wish AA would move to North Terminal to facilitate connections with BA. Not sure why DL can be in North Terminal while AA is stuck in the South.
Here is the menu:

To Start-Roasted Nuts and/or Vegetables with Cucumber Dill Dip

Appetizer-Smoked Salmon

Salad-Fresh Greens with Ginger Orange or Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar Dressing. You could add Roasted Chilled Chateaubriand in a Soy and Sake Marinade as well as Artichokes, Red Bell Peppers, Kalamata Olives, and Cucumbers.

Bread Basket including Uno's Foccacia Bread.

Entrees-Menu said could be served with Wild Rice, Braised Leeks with Chervil, or Roasted Carrots with Sage Butter though this was not offered when orders were taken.
1.Lamb Chops-Rosemary Roasted with Merlot Sauce with Broccoli/Tomato Medley and Yellow Potato with Thyme.
2.Lemon Thyme Grilled Chicken-served with Haricots Verts and Sun Dried Tomatoes with Potato Souffle.
3.Penne Pasta with Grilled Eggplant-Complemented with Oven Roasted Tomatoes, Smoked Mozzarella, and fresh Parmesan.
4.Yankee Pot Roast-Tenderloin of Beef Braised in Red Wine with Oven Roasted Potatoes, Carrots, and Pearl Onions.

I had the Pasta and found in quite good.

You could also customize your meal such as just a salad or Dine Upon Request served at any time on one tray.

Fruit and Cheese-Stilton, Provolone, and Camembert with Fresh Fruit, Crackers, and Port.

Dessert-1.Ben and Jerry's Vanilla Ice Cream with Hot Fudge, Butterscotch, or Season Berries with Whipped Cream and Pecans or 2.Grand Marnier Fruit Salad with Ben and Jerry's Mango-Lime Sorbet.

Select Chocolates (Not Godiva)

Prior to arrival, a light meal consisting of a choice between:
1.Feta Baked Salmon-Fillet Topped with Feta served with a Wilted Green, Cherry Tomato, Olive Salad and Cucumber Mint Dressing.
2.Pineapple Chicken with Asian Slaw-Slices of Chicken in Pineapple Soy Marinade with Cabbage, Carrots, Bell Peppers and Cilantro.

Served with Iced Tea with Lemon and Mint or Lemonade and for dessert Fresh Fruit and Oatmeal Cookies Baked Aboard.

The afternoon meal was tasty enough.

Upon landing at DFW got a gate right away and relatively quick passage through immigration, baggage claim, and customs.

Overall nice flights though not up to the standards of a BA, CX, SQ, LX, etc...

Entertainment on both flights offered a choice of movie tapes for your own in-seat VCR as well as the movies playing on the set schedule at your video screen. Bose Noise Cancelling Headsets were available too. I wish AA has Audio on Demand like SQ and LA.

I too had the same issue with the meal service on an AA flight from ORD-LHR in First. The meal took almost 3 hours to serve to a full First Class. It seemed like by the time I finally got settled in for some sleep, they started clanging around in the galley getting ready for pre-arrival breakfast! It shouldn't take that long. I remember on a BA flight in J out of IAD, they served dinner very quickly after takeoff. The meal was finished and trays cleared less than 1.5 hours after takeoff, leaving enough time to get a few hours of sleep.

Nice report. The US A330's also have audio/video on demand and the noise cancelling headsets. Once you've tried it it's hard to go back.
