just back from a trip to Dublin on the new Ryanair service from Edinburgh.

The launch fare was £10 pp return including tax - with a fare like that it would have been wrong NOT to go!

Was scheduled to leave at 1825 on Friday 7 September so got the airport bus after work.

Got to the airport about an hour before scheduled take off to find at check in that we were delayed an hour - although the screen was showing estimated take off at 2020 hours!!

We retreated to the delights of Burger King for dinner and to kill some time. Edinburgh airport is a lovely little (and grwoing) airport but there is little to do if you are delayed.

When we took off the flight was only 45 minutes long. Seating is 3-3 on a 737 - not sure what the seat pitch was but we were fairly tightly packed in. There were no assigned seats and, at the low price, you can imagibne that the flight was 90% full.

There is no inflight servcie but you can buy drink and snacks, Surprisingly for an Irish airline, the pices are in UK£.

In Dublin, we stayed at the newly opned Westin Dublin

The return flight was totally on schedule.

For a short flight at a low price, Ryanair could not be faulted, even if there were no FF miles to collect.
