Anyone know if they have opened the new airport in seoul yet? I have to go to PUSAN and need to know if its true that I have to fly to the new seoul airport and then "bus" to the old for an intra korea flight?

Yes, the new airport is open. You might get more replies if you post this to General Travel Talk, where I believe you might find a recent thread or two on Inchon.

But to reply to your original question, there's something like one or two flights from Incheon to Pusan, and if you can't make those flights then you need to bus to Kimpo and catch a domestic from there.

Yes, airport is open. Was there 1 week ago. 2 flights/day from ICN to PUS (one each on KE and Asiana), both leave at 8 PM, as I recall. The new Romanization of placenames is a little disconcerting because
Busan = Pusan
Jeju = Cheju
Gimpo = Kimpo.
Probably 75% of the limo buses back to downtown Seoul do stop at Gimpo to accommodate domestic travelers.
It seems a bad way to do it--if I was in one of the provincial cities I would sure think about flying through Japan for LD flying rather than changing airports at Seoul...at least those flights arrive/depart right at Narita...
