Trip Reports - Northwest across the Atlantic

I recently bought tix from JFK - AMS - IST on what I thought was KLM; now I discover that the carrier will actually be Northwest for the trans-Atlantic portion on the trip. I've only had one (negative) experience w/ NWA, and that was domestic;had anyone here taken this carrier internationally, and are tehy any good?

Business class or Economy class?
