Check it at LAX wa smooth. No line at all, and whisked my way to gate 77 for departuer. Flight 952 to ORD was on a vintage 747, and i had seat 11a (C). when got to the gate, I noticed a 15 delay on the flight. I approached te gate agent, said, "How are you today? He responded, "What?" I repeated my greeting, and he heard but didn't answer. Then, when he saw my boarding pass in hand, he waved me aside saying, "You are all set." "But I would like to know about my connection in ORD." Without looking at my boarding pass, he said, "well, when does your flight leave?' I asked him to please look up my record, but for some reasn he did not. I said, "Well, it looks like you are not in the mod to be helpful. I'll go call reservations." Res. assured me the connection would be fine.
Then, without announcement, the same gate agent began boarding. He just openned the door to the gate and began taking boarding passes. He turned many away because they weren't in F or C, though no instructons were given to the contrary.
The plane worn, but the attendants were fantstic. No pre-flight drinks. No menus. But my chicken w/ mushroom sause was excellent. Other choice was pasta. cabin was nearly empty, though upper deck was ful. I had originally booked a seat there, but wanted more space. Flight was a quick 3 hours.
Went to the RCC room at ORD. Very nice people there. Flight to BOS was a 737, leather seats (2D). the guy next to me smelled like he hadn't showered in days! o snacks on the late eve flight, but or FA was wonderful.
Logan is my fav. airport. (I grew up in BOS, and from 13 on used to visit twice a month).
return on the 7th from PWM through IAD to LAX (on a 777). Take care, all.
