On February 5, four of my relatives boarded Contintental #1468 from Houston to San Juan to meet a cruise. One hour into the flight, the plane- a Boeing 737-800 developed engine "vibration", and we returned safely to Houston. The plane was taken out of service. Another 737-800 in from Mexico was supposed to fly us to San Juan. It had landing gear problems, and it was taken out of service. A third 737-800 had brake problems, and it was taken out of service. The odds of this happening would appear to be astronomical, unless there is something seriously wrong with this type of aircraft, or Continental's mechanical maintenance is subpar, or the explanations we got for why we could not make our cruise were untrue. Beware of Continental Airlines in Houston.. especially the 737-800.There are at least 27 other passengers who shared this wonderful experience.
