One of the things that make my cat hair stand on end is taht the RCC's at ORD DO NOT HAVE SAM ADAMS BEERS (OK, I CAN HEAR YOU ALL NOW SAY "THERE HE GOES AGAIN WITH ONE OF HIS MISCELLANOUS POSTS... SO GO READ OMNI!)
I thought it was rare on my flight back from TPA again got the bad news from Georgia the bartender that "sorry, no sams." So I took a Becks (I think Rudi likes Becks, and Beckles too!)
Then I looked up and saw something very wonderful: pictures of these beautiful white cats and cat statues and cat stuff. It seems Georgia has turned her Bar area at the RCC into a tribute to cats.
A FELLOW CAT LOVER!!! WHO CARES ABOUT HAVING NO SAM ADAMS BEER!! I AM IN HEAVEN!!!
So Georgia and I exchanged cat pictures, stories and talked about our mutual experiences with people and cats!!
A few people thought we were odd to carry cat pictures around with us, but they probably never had the love of a pet (or for some of them human companionship!!!)
Georgia was the consolmate professional, so friendly, serves fast and with a smile. She never had to be asked for refills or snack bags (I think they were the mustard pretzels or they tasted like them.) A nice sense of humor. Her husband must be a very lucky man!
What I like about georgia is that United allowed her to have the displays around the bar. I like people who are able to express their love of things (I had to fight with my employer to put up ONE picture of my cats -- said it woudl show up in the bump shots to the anchor.)
So if you are in Terminal B go pay a FOUR PAWS UP to Georgia at the RCC club. And notice the cat stuff around the bar.
And tell her "catman" says Hello.
