The regular United run for me from LAX-SEA, and it was so routine I am almost ashamed to take up bandwidth posting a new report.

I was on the 6:05pm Friday night LAX-SEA, which was a full to the brim 757. I was in 3B, and this flight had the new setas, which meant no foot or storage room under the seats. Takeoff was ontime, and service was average and pleasant. It wasnt the Pepin food, of course, but I have had the Horseradish-Citrus crusted Salmon before, and it is pretty tasty. Almost unbelieveably, we landed 25 minutes early, and were at the gate in moments.

On the return, which was the 5pm SEA-LAX, the equipment was an A320, also with the new seats, and also a full flight. Once again, all was routine, except the food was two bad choices: Filet Mignon in Peppercorn sauce (and UA cannot do steaks, in my experience) or Lemon Chicken in an olive covering coat, which I have found to be at once dry and icky. I had the steak, and picked at it.

Landing was right on time, and we were again at the gate (on Terminal 6 for a change), in less than 2 minutes. The pilot stood on the brakes/spoilers on landing to avoid having to backtrack over the busy taxiways. LAX veterans know what I mean.

Good flights, good service, on time, no surprises. All I ever ask (except on the long international flights).

Can you describe the in-flight service a little bit more. Hot towel service, menu, pre-flight drink, complimentary newspapers.
Just curious...not meaning to stress you out

Also, what kind of seats does UA use on short haul flights? I think they've put new ones in since I stopped flying them.

Great trip report!

No stress involved here. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Let's see....

Hot towels only at the end of the flight, yes, they did provide menus, and they actually were accurate both ways. They did offer drinks in both directions preflight, but did not have newspapers aboard, which I never find anymore except on international flights... even LAX-JFK hasn't had them for some time (at least for me). Seats were the newer kind in both directions, and they showed assorted shorts... regrettably the same set in both directions (remember the Frasier where Roz meets the parents of the father of her baby?)

No chocolates, no baked cookies, par for the course. Everyone was friendly, pleasant, and professional.
