Ok, my first of several daily PIP reports (with photos just added!) can be found by following the Daily Reports link at Official Party In Paradise Web Site (http://members.aol.com/hawaiipip).

The PIP Express was a once-in-a-lifetime flight! What a total blast! Perfect. Read all about it!

WAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! I am soooooooo jealous!

Sounds like a blast and I'm truly glad y'all are having fun. Even though my birthday was Wednesday, I won't hold it against y'all for going off to the PiP without me...

Cheers,

PremEx: I am really glad all is working out. From what you have said, it is really like I pictured it(the top of the 747 that is). I am very new....maybe two weeks...to FlyerTalk, and really wanted to go to PIP, but today was one of the most enjoyable days in work for me (I am a music tacher). I am glad I didn't go....but I am now going to reserve a flight for next year when I get off line. I just hope you have it a week later next year. Mid-November is much better for me.

Chris Moss

p.s. I am probably going to run into the 331 day advance rule but I will call mid-night the morning of..... let us know when the next will be. I am sure this will become an annual affair.

FlyerTalk Dinner Report
Friday Nov. 6th

After the fireworks by the pool, we all split up to go to dinner at some of our favorite restaurants. Originally a few of us had planned to go to Kobe Steak House, just around the corner from the HHV on Ala Moana Blvd, but TropicalFlyer (Sylvia) suggested we go to the Pacific Café. What started out as a group of 8 quickly turned into 11 or 12, and by the time we all got to the restaurant we had 21 people!

It was fun watching them keep adding tables as more people showed up. At one point, the host just looked at us as if to say "will this stream of humanity ever end?" They were very nice about it, and the food & service was exquisite. The presentation of the meal almost surpassed the taste of the food…it was so pretty when placed in front of you, it was a shame to disturb it. A varied and different menu, I'm not sure if this was Asian Fusion or not, but it was great!

If I try to list everyone who was there, I'll miss someone. But, we had Commander Catcop with us at dinner, so he did his best to keep AuH2o in line.

It was a fitting end to a wonderful first day of activities. After dinner, we headed back to our respective hotels for a late liquid libation, and there was word this morning that AuH2o & cesco.g were trying to break some sort of record for 'tries' to find your room. Word is that it got so bad that the front desk here at the HHV taped the room number to AuH2o's key, after he made about 6-7 trips to the desk to ask which room he was in.

The chocolate tasting today was great, and hopefully you've already read about that on the PIP Site. The big FT dinner feast at the Halekulani is happening in about 2 hours.
Look for more from PremEx tomorrow, with tons of photos from NJDavid & MRLIMO.

That's it for me! The Tennis event was the last official PIP event so I now hang up my Communications Director's hat for good and head for the beach! Yahooo! Later dudes (and dudettes)! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Does anyone have a shot of the perfect party T-shirt AuH2O found? The report somehow seems incomplete without it.

OK, what am I missing? Which shirt would that be?

Nov 13, 99, 1:02 pm
auh20 and myself bought the same t-shirts on the way to the chocolate tasting party at a little shop on a side street. It has the word BEER in the middle with an up arrow stating "IN" and a down arrow stating "OUT". Is this the shirt you are talking about?

That's the shirt! The description, while accurate, can't compare with the reality. We really need a picture!

Ok fellow PIPster's,
I will get a hold of my fellow lush, auh20, and convince him that we need to go out drinking (that will be tough) and that we need to wear our shirts. Maybe we can go over to Stimpy's and he can flash a picture of us with his digital camera and upload it to FlyerTalk. Details to follow!

Goldwater are you reading this?

I don't have any 50th High School reunion to go to next year (that's the subject of my FF Trip Report on the alternative to PiP), but it sounds like you guys had a load of fun - and met each other. If next year is not in September (or better, if it coincides with a west coast trip I'll have to take in September), count me in.

A FOUR PAWS UP AND FOUR MEOWS FROM YAZ FOR THAT PPUURRFFECCT PIP WEBSITE PREMEX BRUDDAR!

MY friends asked if I had a good time at the PIP! I sent the link to them. ALL 55 of them (All NON-Flyertalkers!)

The site will comfort me as I grind through the world of news and other stuff.
