Check-in (10.28.99):
I arrived at 1400. I was informed that my room was not ready. Fair enough since official CI time is 1500. At 1500, I was informed that my room was still not ready. The front desk supervisor (who was working the front desk), Colleen W., was apathetic and unapologetic. She told me to come back at 1600. I had a similar experience with this property back in July. I was not able to CI until 1700. At 1600, I was finally checked in.

Room: I was assigned Room 803 (NSK). The room was clean and nicely decorated, a huge improvement from the property's DoubleTree days. The room featured a Heavenly Bed (bed with five fluffy pillows and fluffy sheets that I would love to take home if I could). The bathroom had the usual Westin amenities (Garden Botanika toiletries).

The downside: room phone charges. The rate schedule is as follows:
Local calls-$0.85/call for the first 20 minutes and $0.10/minute thereafter.
800/888/877/950/1010 calls- free for the first 20 minutes and $0.10/minute thereafter.
Information- $1.50/call

Check-out (10.30.99): Quick and efficient. No problems.

Mark, you're not the only one who has encountered the apathy at this Westin. They seem to be a non-discriminatory hotel...they piss everybody off!

At least you got a Heavenly Bed out of it.

Try the Marriott here. Right at the terminal! Small pool, decent food. No problems!
